Seeking an IT manager to devise proactive and reactive business driven IT solutions for our clients. This person will recruit, lead and develop a growing team of high performing system administrators, L1-L4 technicians and support staff in the delivery of critical projects and client support of their NOC environments, desktop, telephony, data center and network operations support. This role involves client interaction with C-Suite, business executives and technicians.

This person will oversee management of client services, databases, external services, firewalls and networks. Demonstrated oversight or direct experience with the following:

  1. Server & OS management (administration & engineering)
  2. Application management (administration & engineering)
  3. Network management (administration & engineering)
  4. Storage management (administration & engineering)
  5. Telephony management (administration & engineering)
  6. Patch management and vulnerability remediation
  7. IT asset lifecyle management
  8. IT Governance proficiency (compliance & security)
  9. Develop reporting for both technology performance and service delivery performance
  10. IT MSP service delivery
  11. Process creation, optimization and improvement with effective feedback loops

The ideal candidate will be proficient in data center design, business continuity, office and infrastructure relocations, capacity planning, virtualization, mentoring, process improvement, project manager and contracts. Must be adept at eliminating redundancies, saving money and time and protecting intellectual property and data for our clients and our company.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Experience: 10+ years progressive experience with technical and management background
  • 5 to 10 years of operations management experience leading high-performance teams
  • Requires advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and team leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate teams to meet tight deadlines
  • Advocate for proven standardized processes and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives
  • The ability to work under a heavy workload in a time critical environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience planning support for a multi-discipline operation
  • Strong experience in developing staff and implementing effective performance management mechanisms
  • Demonstrated business acumen with experience managing budget, cost and pricing of support services
  • ITIL Certified or experience other ITSM systems
  • Experience with SOC, PCI and/or HIPPA would be beneficial
  • Solid understanding of security best practices
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics of a global infrastructure
  • Historic experience with the following technical areas would be beneficial:
    • Windows and Linux Server
    • Windows desktop
    • Infrastructures including networks, storage, data centers and information security
    • Large scale monitoring systems
    • Virtualization
  • Displays enthusiasm, energy, and quality focus
