Job Title: Resort General Manager
Reports To: Resort Owners
Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the resort. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans to increase revenue and profitability, overseeing all aspects of guest service, and managing all staff and resources. The General Manager must be able to think strategically and tactically, and be able to execute effectively on both levels. They must also be able to build and maintain strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the resorts strategic plan, including goals and objectives for revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including guest services, lodging, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance, and recreation.
- Manage all staff and resources, including recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and compensation.
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to promote the resort and attract new guests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
- Ensure that the resort is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically.
- Ability to execute effectively on both strategic and tactical levels.
- Knowledge of resort operations and best practices.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience with marketing and sales.
